Founded in 2001, the St. Petersburg Festival Orchestra has rapidly become one of the leading symphony orchestras of the cultural capital of Russia. It is frequently invited to play in prestigious music festivals and is the resident orchestra of the annual international music festival ‘Nordic Music’.

Consisting of over 70 young professional players, it has become widely known for its exciting concerts of the highest class and it regularly performs with world-class artists such as Yekaterina Solovyova (soprano), Olga Savova (mezzo-soprano), David Walker (countertenor), Federico Mondelci (saxophone) and Craig Ogden (guitar).
